You are so angry!
Yes I am. But the question is why aren't you? Are you aware that the FDIC may be insolvent in another 6 months? So why the heck are we throwing billions of our hard earned tax dollars at AIG, CitiGroup and GM instead of using it to shore up the FDIC so that we can protect the inividuals from whom the government has taken these billions?
I realize that there is enough blame to go around to both Bush and Obama. However, it seems to me that trying to pass the largest spending bill in history, which is what Obama is trying to do, is fiscally irresponsible. We cannot spend our way out of this mess.
At least I do not have any children, so I am not concerned about my decendents being in debt for the rest of their unnatural lives. But you have children, Mike. Surely you must worry about the mountains of debt that Obama's policies are going to heap upon their heads.
We'll get through this. We are fortunate to live in an energetic, malleable country that has come through every crisis that has befallen us. This is a bad one but I have not lost faith that prosperity will return.
I expect that this is true. It happened after the depression even though FDR's New deal lengthened the depression considerably. When prosperity returns, it will not be because of Obama - it will be in spite of him.
