I know even celeron is better than atom. If you want to buy a mini notebook maybe you look for a tablet pc. Tablet pc's expensive than atom's but theirs cpu's are better. Personally I think 9" not good for developers -even for travels-, my home notebook is 15" and work notebook is 17".
