It is, exactly somehow :). That is, anything that involves running fox code while properties of an object are populated makes that object initialize before its zorder. In that case, it was a activepage_assign; in my case, init of memberclassed objects. But see the solution: a property prefixed with an equal sign is as strong, if not stronger, in trumping the zorder.
