>I am trying to get the records from p_action cursor ordered by cname. The count_names is just to tally how many records I have and then display it in the report by using a variable in the report. On my p_action, I did a lot insert using scan loop. Now I want to order it correctly for the report. Or I'm I on the wrong track here and my report will actually be showing records from count_names because I'm doing a select statement? Thanks. Nick.

Yes, you need to select the correct cursor first before running the report.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
