>>BTW watched an epo of "ice Road Truckers" t'other night. One of the "stars" was talking of how many moose he'd seen out on the ice that day. He counted 18 to camera, and i thought what a nature lover he was. Then he went and spoilt it with "lucky I don't live around here ... there'd be 18 less", and laughed uproariously (as all they do at their own inane banter). Now I can understand you killers wanting maybe one or two, but the idea of seeing such abundance of nature then just wanting to destroy it is beyond me.

>That's a little more over the top than I am, and I am a bit over the top. I went two deer seasons this year and only got one, and it was a desperation shot. We had horrific flooding in our state last year as well as a terribly icy winter and it has changed the population and habits. I got zilch from pheasant hunting in 2008 for the first time since I've started hunting. I also had horrible luck turkey hunting in 2008. I did, however, have a pretty decent year of fishing. I didn't hit the trout streams as much as I would have liked, but I bagged a few walleye. Not that you care... but once I get started I start rambling.

This year the population was so high I could've bagged 18-20 or so on my way to work each week. Deer are every where and sadly, victims on the side of the road more often than average this year. A few bears have been victims to drivers as well.
