>My base class verifies the connection and that the DBC is open and used in BeforeOpenTaboes() and opens the views in OpenTables() of the DE. But since a requery in OpenTAbles generates a Connection Busy message too, I'm left without data for the object init. I can't requery in the Form load because the views aren't open yet and by the Form init, the objects have already been created. There's something really odd about this Connection Busy thing. I can't figure out what I'm missing. It must be really obvious--to someone!

I'm running out of tricks here, simply because I didn't play with this that much, I'm mostly using what others did. Maybe recap what you tried and found out and what still doesn't work in a new thread? Because by now everyone has stopped following this thread and they probably think we got it solved.
