>Actually... with all of these being optional - we're able to turn them on/off at will, why take both sides of the browser window? The left side is usually occupied only one-third, and the right side only one half. So... putting them all on one side (optional?) would make me change my mind. Presently, my "subscription panel" (which is a serious misnomer - I'm getting my subscription emails annually, I don't need them every time I look at UT... or is it something that only PUTMs can see?... ah, it's the things I have selected to see... but then I have selections elsewhere too so... never mind) us turned off, because I'd have to widen the browser seriously to have my messages area wide enough so I wouldn't have to scroll horizontally to read them, but then some other sites would appear too wide and reading would be as much exercise as watching tennis from short distance.

The left side is known as the dashboard and is about options that are available to everyone. The right is for subscribers only. As for the left side, it all depends on what you put on it and if you expand or collapse them. As for me, it takes the entire area so as for many members. The right side is about fix content, in regards to top 10 and with the same layout.
