I've have been the sole developer for a number of years - I own the code - and now want to start learning and moving it to C# (I think). I'm in a position to take the time to learn NET and improve the application, so I'm looking for resources to help me get started. I know nothing about it, other than what I've read online.

Hi Lynda,
Something else I would recommend...

If I were you I would look into some of the Microsoft Press .NET Certification training books. They are pretty thorough. There is also a few "must have" books, one of which being http://www.amazon.com/Framework-Design-Guidelines-Conventions-Development/dp/0321545613/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1237208743&sr=8-1.
Very fitting: http://xkcd.com/386/
