>We live on the edge of town and our backyard is next to an open field, which means in the winter we get huge drifts in our backyard. The first time I took our dog out in that to potty I thought she would stay in the few feet between the back of the house and the 4 foot snowdrift... but she decided she was going to get a running start and dive headfirst into the drift. I don't think I've ever seen pure joy as much as watching her flail around in the loose snow.

That's funny. We have two dogs who like snow, one who doesn't. And three who don't like cold. On the really cold mornings they go about 3 feet onto the back deck and get that "Screw this" look on their faces.
