If you set the current database as you described, then do you know how to retrievie the associated description? For instance:

> add key="CustA" value="Customer A (SQL Server)"
> add key="CustB" value="Customer B (Visual FoxPro)"
>databaseSets

If I use the Database Manager to set the key to "CustA", is there a method that will return "Customer A (SQL Server)"? Thanks again for your help in solving this question.
