Not, If I am born on 3 Jan. The query will test for DATE(2009, 1, 3) BETWEEN DATE(2009, 12, 30) AND DATE(2010, 1, 5), just because YEAR(ldStartDate) is used. The same is if YEAR(ldEndDate) is in use :-)
