>I've only seen the movie ... Gary just adores Audrey Hepburn. He probably has the whole soundtrack in his head too.

I love Audrey Hepburn but she didn't sing in the movie - Marnie Nixon did (quite well, but the snub to Julie Andrews represented some of the worst of Hollywood-think) I recommend seeing if your library has the original cast album with Julie Andrews (1957 I think)

Worst example of above mentioned Hollywood-think - Man of LaMancha where Richard Harris and Sophia Loren - neither of whom could sing but both of whom did - replacing Richard Kiley and Joanne Diener who could sing and did on Broadway and were transcendent.

( I've been told my knowledge of and interest in musical theater is unique for one of my sexual persuasion <bg> )

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
