I'm in the 'take our toys and go home' camp until the situation improves here. Of course, the same negative view of this country will persist by many overseas and will likely be slightly modified to : "See how selfish and greedy those Americans are - they have the most wealth in the world, the strongest military. and they won't help their fellow man"


>My "tirade" was not in anger. I am very versed in political discussions and learned along while back anger accomplishes nothing. I am known for being very blunt and somewhat black and white and comes across as angry when I am in fact just animated. As I wrote, I did not target those who think they way you say you do but those here and abroad who want to ride the anti-US bandwagon.

We know first hand what this country stands for and how it has been diluted over the years by the "socialist/populist" agenda. We know the ability of this country to give when no others will and we frankly take those slaps in the face and continue to give. God help the world if we ever decide to take our toys and go home. The saving grace is those that understand our history and what we stand for will not let that happen we will just push to return us to our initially established path as set forth by some extremely wise men ( some from Europe ) over 200 years ago.

>I do not intend to trash all Europeans as you can see by by name I hail from European ancestry ( German/Irish ). My family came here in the Palatine emigration in the early 1700's and others from Ireland a little later. I like to think I am heavily vested in this country and with that comes a strong sense to defend her.
