>>>Yeah, I know. AIG bonuses an outrage...whatever. But do any of you realize how grossly unconstitutional the congressional bill to confiscate the bonuses via taxation is?
>>>
>>>It's obviously a Bill of Attainder
>>>
>>>"A bill of attainder (also known as an act or writ of attainder) is an act of legislature declaring a person or group of persons guilty of some crime and punishing them without benefit of a trial. Bills of attainder are forbidden by Article I, section 9, clause 3 of the United States Constitution."
>>>
>>>If they get away with this one then nothing is safe.
>>
>>And the vote for change continues to fulfill its own sad, uninformed, poorly managed, illegal destiny. Led by someone who apparently doesn't give a damn about what he is doing to what used to be the greatest office anyone could aspire to hold. I mean COME ON.....Leno? Cracks about Special Olympics? I wonder what the Kennedy clan must think now!

>You are so right, Phil. In just two months in office Barack Obama has already desecrated the Presidency. He will never live up to the high standards of the Bush administration. We didn't realize how good we had it!

Each president must stand on their own. They cannot be compared to previous presidents because the world and the issues each one deals with is different. Obama must answer for his actions just as every president before him did.

IMHO, it is dangerous whenever a single political party holds a 'super majority' in either the house or the senate. It has proven to be a problem throughout history. I also think that the use of a filibuster transforms majority rule into minority tyranny as Jean Edward Smith so aptly put it:

http://100days.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/03/01/filibusters-the-senates-self-inflicted-wound/

While during the Bush administration the Republicans in the senate were threatening to do away with the filibuster, they are now proponents of it. Funny how when the shoe is on the other foot everything changes. Anyway, Obama must answer for the policies he implements, supports, or signs and congress and the senate for those they implement or pass. So far it is running 50/50...
