>>Yeah. It was a fun show. Brosnan's character was an old movie buff and used to slip in little odd bits from time to time. One show he used the pseudonym "John Robie" when he was pretending to be a thief.

In the end, it left a bitter taste.

A website of someone in Chicago, tallies all the movie quotes mentioned in a series run on some US channels, and a few UK movies/serials. Entirely encapsulated in the common US/UK cocoon, its list of movie quotes is 100% within the cocoon. Any names beyond it are those who emigrated into it (Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman).

The girl who put up the site isn't to blame at all, unless she is that market which drives the demand, and the rest of the world better get more commercial or get lost.
