My first thought about the name was that her father (Efrem Zimbalist, Jr) was a co-star of the 50's show "77 Sunset Strip" (Oh Kookie!!!!). I didn't even remember "The FBI" until you mentioned it.

There was also a Sam Zimbalist, an Academy Award winning producer (he died while making Ben-Hur). (The only reason I know this name is that we are VERY distantly related and he is the only relatively famous relative I have)
