>For those lurking, I'll post something on Monday about our new "code named - Death Star". The released version will be called MPD Prowler. VFP 9 fat client that also employs some of Craig Boyd's vfpconnection and vfpcompression and Xitech's Cryptor. It's a License Plate Reader on steroids. Out of the box the system reads tags, stores the picture and the converted text in a sqlexpress database on board the car's pc. VFP pulls the tag numbers from the SQL database and bumps against our local Motor Vehicle data. From there we check for expired tags, then we match on address against warrants, sex offenders, gangsters, parolees, people driving on revoked licenses, scofflaws, known felons, etc, etc, etc. We capture lat/lon on each tag read, and datetime(). That data will be pushed up to our servers and retained for 1 year.
