>>In a Word automation routine I changed background printing to False to prevent Word from closing before the final document was spooled to the printer. Now I get an annoying message saying "Printing document whatever to printer whatever" and offering a cancel button for each and every document in the batch. How do I get rid of it? DisplayAlerts doesn't work...

BTW, I had to keep that "Printing..." dialog in order to be able to hide the "margins exceed..." dialog. So to put one away you have to show the other one. Tsk, tsk... can't these things ever work like computers, you know, fully automatic, without asking the users a question every now and then? At least the "Printing" dialog falls through so quickly and vanishes before anyone has a chance to click.
