>Resource = off is the ONLY line in the config file within the app. That's why I was very surprised when they complained about Foxuser.

I once had an old loader which was creating resource table, and kept forgetting about it. I've checked the app itself several ways, and it wasn't using the resource file at all, and it wasn't creating it either. When I have completely given up, it dawned on me that it was the loader... which was distributed to an unknown number of workstations. It just wasn't worth fixing, and the target directory for the shortcuts was the app directory anyway. It annoyed us, but nobody else knew and nobody was bothered.

At least, you know where the desktop directory is:

lcDesktopDir=GETENV("HOMEDRIVE")+GETENV("HOMEPATH")+"\desktop"

so you can

erase (addbs(lcDesktopdir)+"foxuser.*")

somewhere in your app, on shutdown perhaps. That would clean it up and you would save a few calls to the IT guys.
