You mean Hollywood movies aren't realistic? Damn. I think you just ruined my day.

>I think you're a bit off kilter here. This thread was started (and for those who haven't realised) as a lampoon of US movies involving car chases. Note the Category above.

>Oh, and another tip: Don't assume that if you drive your car through an opaque window, from the top of a multi-storey car park, that it will always land on another roof beyond, or in a railroad boxcar full of cotton, or other such soft options. The chances are you'll plummet to your death.

>If you try and leap an unfeasibly wide gap, don't always rely on there being a ramp on the take-off side, esp. one that'll flip your car through 360 during the flight.
>
>If you smash your car through the plate glass window of a chic restaurant, don't always rely on the ability of the diners to just about get out of your way. Some of them may be infirm, slow witted, or just not paying attention. You may be had up for manslaughter (in fact, most probably).

>>You guys are living in a dream world. Are you telling me that a factor in your choice of car truly considered the need to escape during high speed pursuits? Puh-leeze ...

>>>This is exactly why I drive a fast car. I don't know many cars which really can beat me.

>>>>
>>>>Assuming you have been forced off the road in a high-speed chase how about this: Instead of careering through the woods at break-neck speed, for about 30 seconds, until you either hit a ramp which turns your car over, or hit a tree, try taking your foot off the gas and applying the brake. You'll find it ends sooner and with less damage/injury.
