>I have a Court System that will require tightened security. I am using Foxpro tables and the client does not want to use MS SQL Server. I would like to encrypt some key tables using a 3rd party program. I was going to use Cryptor but it seems the company is having problems. Does anyone have any ideas to protect the data either with a 3rd party program or a technique to apply an additional layer of security beyond password access to the app. If the tables are accessed or taken, I do not want the some of the data to be viewed. I will also later this year be migrating the app to VFP 9. Thanks in advance for any help.

Bill,
This product -
http://www.netlib.com/file-encryption.asp - will allow you to add strong encryption to your existing tables and files without any programming changes to speak of. It is not cheap but will give you an out-of-the-box solution without major programming overhead.
However, this still leaves your code open to attack and hence you also need to protect that with products like Refox, Armadillo, or Thinstall.
