I would say however that what we have for this site, in general, is something that you will not find as is elsewhere on the net. But, if you compare both search engines, I just cannot compete with that. I do not know if you know what it requires to purchase, setup, maintain and support such infrastructure that would deliver instant search result among terabytes of data. But, the way they go out there, by 2050, I have heard they will index your refrigerator, which is something obviously, we cannot achieve.

Competing with the speed may be a problem indeed. But speed isn't always a prerequisite. There are situations that finding is more important than finding immediately. Perhaps it is an idea to have a second search engine/module that searches slower, but doesn't restrict as much as the current engine?!
