Engine braking will then slow you down and eventually stop you, esp. if in a manual trans. car.

Or what if he's stolen your car and substituted an exact duplicate that only goes 240 Kph and the engine can't be turned off or be downshifted. And what if he's rigged your ejection seat so it doesn't work either, or it works, but he's replaced your breakaway car roof with a regular car roof.

Sorry, I can't compete with your master villain. My only advice to you is keep out of US action films, especially the BIG budget ones where a lot of cars are wasted.

However, I can give this tip:

If the baddie is chasing you in his car, with you on foot, trying to run you down, don't run away from him, esp. up an alley; he's got more horses than you and will catch you. Instead simply move to one side, esp. near a lamppost or other street furniture, and keep within his turning circle. He'll circle around you until he gets frustrated and drives away.

- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
