www.microsoft.com has a knowledge base, including a list of all known (by MS < g > ) bugs.

You should be using version 5.0a with service pack 3 applied. If you right click on the vfp.exe and check the version, it should show build 415.

This probably isn't a VFP bug. I followed up your answers in the other branch (ravel? :-) of this thread.
