You can set up a CCTV observing the dialog so they can monitor it from elsewhere :)

I think this little nuisance won't ever be solved because it's not big enough. Even in your case you can just say that it's Word's thing which can't be turned off, but at least you know it works as long as it keeps popping up.

Then someday when this is fixed and the dialog stops popping up, they'll call you with "panic, dialog vanished!".
