You can actually SCAN...ENDSCAN a remote table regardless of back-end source...not that you'd want to.

>Probably, you mean VFP database, and not back-end server (because SCAN is applicable to VFP only). If this is a case, then the difference is following: SEEK/SCAN will be faster if you retrieve few records (few may mean even few hundreds). However, the bigger is number of retrieved records, the faster comparable SQL-SELECT will be.
