No, you should set it for every control in the Detail Band.
Because you didn't specify VFP version VFP 9 has one great feature:
Select ALL controls in dtail Band and press Alt+Enter. Then you could set Print Event for All selected controls at once. keep in mind that this will reset everything you have in Print When for every single control.
