I've been using VFP for my commercial application development ever since Foxpro 2.5. I am currently in my 24th year and I'm using VFP 9, SP1.

I rec'd a call from a user that was using version 17 of my application and they claimed that it would not run on any of the computers any more. Strangely, I can't really remember what version of VFP I was using back then, but I'd guess it was VFP 6.0.

Does this make any sense to anyone and does this mean that our current apps will soon be just bits of code and unable to run on future OS's that MS might release?

Anyone care to guess just how long VFP 9.0 apps will run under future versions of windows?

Should start a lottery for that one... lol
