If you have looked at any classes in the FFC directory, copies were made in the Virtual Store, thus, the new installation isn't recognized. You need to clear out the Virtual Store, unless that is, you've actually made changes to the FFC and you need to figure out how to merge changes.
I laud those of you who persisted with this until Microsoft finally fixed it. That was not something I thought was going to happen, so kudos. That said, this ersatz upgrade process seems like a lot of trouble to fix one reporting bug. I suppose it depends on how badly the bug impacts a particular application.
