>>>>>Ok, looking at the industrial revolution and farming, many people lost their jobs and moved into the city to find work in factories. Then later those farms merged into conglomerates so the majority of our food source is beholden to just a few companies. Then inventions in production caused many people to lose those jobs. Skilled labor was no longer required. Kids started working because their parents couldn't find work. Pollution grew a thousand fold. It wasn't until child labor laws came around that it changed. Now those jobs go to illegal immigrants and not the general public. So, folks flocked to schools to learn new technologies only to have those jobs farmed out to cheaper countries where taxes are lower, emission laws are not as stringent, work conditions are not as stringent, and no unions exist to protect the worker. Our trade agreements allow for virtually free trade in but not out. Yeah, that's improvement.

>>Tesla wanted to create electricity that could be transmitted through the air and he was certain it could be done, but I don't think he ever succeeded. He did invent alternating current.

MIT has recently done something with this to recharge small batteries wirelessly.
