Indeed... if this story is true, then very soon there will be 4 dead pirates and maybe 1 captain. The pirates now have nowhere to go, and only the Captain to bargain with, and they have already shown their word is nothing. If they resist, they are dead.

Exchanging the captive pirate for the captain was foolish. Never negotiate with pirates (or terrorists). They always will shaft you.

I say, after the battle, take the dead bodies of the pirates and hoist them on the flagstaff for the other pirates to see. Put them right under the American Flag. Let it be a lesson to the others.
