>Monday morning, we started to receive warnings. Our scripts typically take 3-5 seconds to execute. We started to see script times of 40-60 seconds from two of the nodes. A third node operated in normal ranges. Our internal systems were operating normally. We called our ISP, who reported no issues. A quick search of some internet monitoring sites also showed no issues. The poor performance continued to worsen throughought the day. Luckily, it affected less than 5% of ouyr customers. Finally, about 3:00, our ISP reported that Sprint had experienced a backbone router failure that was affecting internet traffic in much of the western US. Within an hour, things were back to normal.
