Yes, another interesting talk. I was a little surprised at one of his apparent conclusions - that some so-called developing countries such as Chile have achieved greater health/lower infant mortality at a lesser level of economic growth than (say) the US. While statistically true, it ignores the fact that Chile achieved this at a later date than the US. I'd argue that the time gap allowed health technology and infrastructure improvements (e.g. water treatment), which Chile could take advantage of to improve its health at a lower % of GDP.

I also thought "means vs. goals" at the end was out-of-place, IMO it just showed he was pushing his own agenda and vision of how things (especially Africa) should be.

I remember you used to list your UT address as South Africa, how do your views compare to Hans Rosling's?
