We are planning the move/rewrite of a fairly large project from Foxpro 2.6 to VFP 5.0 The 2.6 system was using an in-house written source control system. We have purchased Visual SourceSafe (VSS) to replace this. Our 2.6 source control allowed us to check out a .dbf, modify the structure, write data conversion code, and then check it back in. At install, the data conversion code would run. Is this possible under VSS ? If not, what is the intended use of the .dbf / .dbc check in / out ? Are there any VSS users out there who would be willing to accept a voice call to discuss VSS concepts in general ?
