Is your application really crashing or it just take a long time to process? Since VFP is single threaded, it's normal (or I should say expected) that it show "Not responding" in Vista since it doesn't give a feedback to the OS while it's running. Can you put some WAIT WINDOW NOWAIT in the code to show the process?

>I have a application that was written for a client that is very straight forward. It runs, watches a folder on their system for any files placed, runs a specific action based on the filename placed. We keep having problems with Visual Foxpro, it stops responding and never comes back to life. We then have to kill the vfp process and start over. When we run the code step by step manually, it runs as expected. This problem only occurs when Visual Foxpro is running lengthy files.
