I'm pretty sure I posted here before about my son Nathaniel's efforts to bring a choir of students from Burma (Myanmar) for a tour in the United States. After nearly two years' effort, it's happening beginning next week.

The group, the first choir from Burma ever to come to the US, will arrive next Wednesday and will be in the New Haven/New York area for nearly a week, after which they'll go to San Francisco. There will be two public concerts in Connecticut. Here's information:

Gitameit Voices and the Yale Spizzwinks
7:30PM, Friday April 24th
The Field Club, Greenwich, CT
Patron tickets: $30, Sponsor tickets: $125
Contact wosborne@eroicapartners.com for details

Gitameit Voices, the Yale Spizzwinks, and combined chorus conducted by Jeffrey Douma, director of the Yale Glee Club
7:30PM, Monday April 27th
Trinity Lutheran Church, New Haven, CT
Free, no ticket required (reserved premium seating also available, contact nathaniel.granor@yale.edu)

I don't have details for west coast concerts yet, but I'll post them here when I do.

Info on the project at: http://www.yalespizzwinks.org/gitameitvoicesproject/

Needless to say, we're incredibly proud of Nathaniel for making this happen.

Tamar
