You can retrieve the volume (*) setting, set it to max and restore it immediately afterwards. But if you leave the end user no way to quiet it down or turn it off, you need to make damn sure you have a bulletproof contract... the users will leave one bullet for the contract after shooting the machine down.
Any such sound, which comes at predictable times, is an irritation to the user - even if it comes as a friendly warning or confirmation of success in the task of entering one number right. After a few weeks of that, they may think of employing a firearm to silence the beast. After a few weeks more, they may do something about it. For a while I worked in a room next to an office where someone's app was beeping on every save... believe me, I wanted to club the machine into a pancake.

(?) there should be settings, apart of that for the volume, for the area and length of sound, but I was unable to find them. Come to think of it, what's the 4d measurement? It should be found in the other direction...
