The largest number of failures was in copying the file to the directory where it should have been in the first place. Even with a routine checking for both of the processes to complete, it just wasn't reliable, especially on Terminal Server. I believe I have convinced the client that it makes more sense to ante up and buy product that can create the files where they should be. That improves performance too.
The testing of these 11 products was an interesting and informative experience. My 'takeaway' from it is that a product that costs a little more can sometimes do a lot more, do it faster, and is more likely to work a stressful environment.
Thanks again for your help with Bullzip.
