Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I actually have the "name" clause implemented, but it still does not work. I think the reason has something to do with the way the foxpro app generator opens forms. When debugging, the object for the form does not appear in the variable list. However if you look in oapp.forms{a} (array) you see all the forms....
