Which conversion did you use? I tried converting my legacy FPD app to Visual with Functional, and didn't see that problem. No SET CURSOR in the starting .prg either.

SET CURSOR is ON by default in FPD so there is no need to set it on explicitly.

I used a Visual Conversion because, if the screens were created using the power tools, the functional conversion creates formsets that are really hybrids - not FPD and not true VFP either. However, since this legacy app is really more like a FoxBase+ app - all the screens were hand-coded using @SAY and @GET, It really shouldn't make all that much difference. Thanks for the idea - I'll give it a try.
