I don't think it's related to your problem, but I had a strange problem with my own grdSorting class when I tried to adapt it in another application. For some unknown reason the Resize of the grid was called before the Init of the grid and thus causing a problem. I worked around it, of course, but this was quite strange.

Could it be a possiblity here?
