Check Alejandro Sosa's converter - it gives you true conversion to textboxes etc, not the Read emulation like VFP's converter does. Maybe some earlier version of it is still around, which was general enough; the latest targets CodeMine framework, and I suspect it fills some specific PEMs of its classes. Maybe it can be redefined to target a different framework.>
>Thanks for the tip - I will shoot Alex an e-mail if I wind up having to pull this app into VFP. So far, thank goodness, I do not have to deal with it. I am creating a separate VFP app for the new functionality that the client wants.
For a while I was amusing myself with writing such converters - which is all fine, it's fairly easy to convert a say/get into a label, textbox or what have you. Even translation of coordinates, drawn boxes etc isn't such a problem. It's the code - everyone has their own way of opening tables, saving a record, saving a bunch of child records, their own buttons... and then the target also needs to belong to some classes, so it goes to a target framework. Which altogether segments both the incoming and outgoing boxes into too many small boxes to make it worth the while... which is why I never finished the converter :).
