>>I have a very simple view based on one table. It has been working fine for some days now. Today, however, everytime I do a REQUERY on it, VFP crashes completely. I deleted the view, deleted it from the form's DE, recreated the view, readded it to the DE. It still crashes.

>I will bet you a dollar that the crash is happening in a form with a grid... right? Check the controlsources of the column in the grid very carefully and you will find that one or more of the columns has funky controlsource.
My first instinct was to scoff. I mean, what would the control sources in a grid have to do with requerying a view? But you were dead on! I had changed the name of some fields in the table, changed the view to match, but forgot to change the control sources in the grid!
VFP could at least have generated a proper error instead of crashing. :)
Thanks!
