I think VMWare is still generally considered better than VPC and it works with OSes other than Windows.
Matt . . . there are other software companies out there . . . M$ is not the only software company. <g>

>>I have installed Windows 7 RC1 that was made public this morning using the free VMWare Player as a virtual PC. I am running the VMWare Player under WinXP and had no problems creating a virtual Windows7 PC. I used the website:

>>
>>Virtual Machine Name: Windows7
>>Virtual Machine Operating System: Windows Vista
>>Virtual Machine Memory Size: 1024 MB
>>Virtual Machine Disk Size: 10G
>>Live CD ISO (checked Yes) and entered the iso file name
>>
>>I renamed the iso file downloaded from Microsoft (I renamed it to Windows7.iso) and then moved it to the same directory that I downloaded the above generated files. Then I started the VMware with the Windows7.vmx and it installed without any problems.

>>This can be used to test any applications for compatibility with Windows7... Enjoy!
