"There is a naming convention that distinguishes vars and fields and thats it" Probably that is my problem. I have never seen such a magical naming convention. If for a second I accepted there were such a convention I could use, then still I don't get how that would solve the performance problem in loops. Somebody should teach that magical convention to VFP too.
