We are just the opposite. We are being forced to move to Sql because our clients are requiring it. Their IT guys despise DBF's because they say you cannot secure them and they cannot control access to them like a Sql DBA can.
They used to not care what our app was written in but that now too has changed. In our Asian market they are insisting on .Net now or no go. The US clients are now too inferring they do not want VFP on their machines anymore but tell us that can be a 2-3 year process, but will not accept anything in VFP after 2012. European markets don't care either way.
