My understanding is that they are highly unlikely to be released in the U.S. Some of the ones where the evidence is compelling might be moved to supermax prisons.

You seem to have me down as more of a bleeding heart than I am. I realize some of these guys, maybe most of them, really do mean us harm. But we can't just chuck due process out the window. This country was founded and has existed for 230 years on bedrock principles of individual rights. If we discard those principles for what we perceive as expediency we become no better than our enemies.

Lock them up and throw away the key if it can be shown in a court of law that they deserve it. Just do it the right way.
