Thanks for the reply. I have tried both commands at the init of the app and at the form level. When I toggle the themes on and off in development mode it changes the form correctly (to windows xp look), but when I compile an exe it does not show the theme. If I build a .app and run that, it does keep the sytle. These forms are created from a class and I tried those commands there also. These were VFP6 apps and I am trying to convert to VFP 9. I am at a high beginner/low level intermediate programmer, so thanks for the help.
