I was playing with this didn't get and real satisfactory results.
with this.command3
   mouse click at .Top + .Height/2, .Left + .Width/2 pixels window (wontop())
endwith
I also tried using:
this.command1.SetFocus()
keyboard " "
but the problem is neither a MOUSE click or the keypress take long enough to execute for the screen to reliably update and show the pressed state of the button.
