>>I could have sworn that I saw a message here that showed a way to make a combobox readonly in order to avoid having to disable it, which results in the contents being too pale to be read easily. I have not been able to find the right combination of words to locate it, though. Does anyone remember that thread or know how to do this? Thanks.

It is a Windows app, which does have the enabled option. I don't want to disable it because that is what causes it to be so faint. For a text box, you can make it readonly but that option isn't obviously available for a combobox. Thanks.
